Agility Weave Workshop

Length: 4 weeks

Cost: £25

Content: This course takes you through everything you need to teach the perfect dog agility weaves. If followed correctly and practiced over time you will be able to send your dog into the weaves from any angle, at their top speed, focused ahead and independent of you. I will be doing this course alongside you with my young dog who is only just starting the weave. WEAVES AND OUTDOOR SPACE REQUIRED. We do not recommend training your dog the weaves on hard surfaces due to the strain on their joints. You can get creative and make your own weaves as long as they are safe. Such as garden cane stuck in the ground with plastic piping over the top. Alternatively you could buy some online. We do not recommend taking the weaves narrower than shoulder width on dogs younger than one year of age due to the risk of damage to their growth plates. It is the ideal time of year to teach weaves. Dry but not too hot.

When: Friday 8th May 4.00pm for four weeks, ending on the 29th May.

Content: This course focuses on life with a reactive dog, be it towards other dogs or people. Although we are not able to socialise at this time there is lots that we can do in preparation and now is the perfect time to put the foundations in place. Dog Behaviour and Socialisation Talk

Length: 1hr 30 mins

Content: During this pandemic the social distancing is going to cause two big issues with our dogs 1) a lack of socialisation with other dogs and people; leading to anxiety and frustration 2) too much time with us; leading to separation anxiety when we return to work. This talk will walk you through things you can do now to help prepare your dog for when things return to normal. I will also take you through dog body language and behaviour as well as what to look for in appropriate play. There will also be suggestions on how to keep your dog entertained whilst we are in isolation.
